One of my 2021 intentions is to follow my spontaneous creative urges. So I have taken up crocheting.
I am making a golden solar plexus throw for my zen space and a rainbow blanket, well, just because!
The act of knotting, feeling the yarn slide across your fingers and turn into something from nothing is pretty powerful. It is meditative. Each crochet is like an affirmation, repeat enough and you have woven a blanket full of new possibilities.
This yarn is Caron® Cotton Cakes™ Yarn in Calico Flower which I got from Michael’s. (I love their same-day delivery — its perfect for spontaneous creative urges!) You can also find it on Amazon. I prefer the feel of cotton yarn over acrylic or wool and its much easier to wash, too.
