After designing the April Showers cheater quilt, I got to thinking. My mother and I have an Etsy shop where we sell handmade home decor and nursery items — but its not very scalable. I was contemplating adding downloadable patterns or tutorials so fellow crafters could make their own items with our designs.
That’s when inspiration struck! I Could design a fabric panel — like they sell in stores — that includes the fabric as well as instructions to create it. So, I used the same design elements of April Showers (I so love the colorful raindrops!) and designed a Nursery Panel. It includes a changing pad cover, accent pillowcase, three art “prints”, rain cloud stuffy and even a rain cloud mobile!
I am very proud of how they all came out. At one of our Creative Tradition shows, a woman bought everything as a gift for her friend’s baby shower.
